Cops Warn of Spike in Carjackings on South Side

CHICAGO — Police are warning Washington Park and Grand Boulevard residents of a recent spike in carjackings.

The carjackings occurred 1:45 a.m. Sept. 2 in the 4400 block of South State Street, 7:30 p.m. Aug. 26  in the 4600 block of South Indiana Avenue, 4 a.m. Aug. 25 in the 400 block of East 46th Street and 5 a.m. Aug. 23 in the 0-99 block of East 51st Street, according to a community alert.
