Burglaries Spike in Washington Park, Police Say

CHICAGO — Police are warning Washington Park residents of an increase in home burglaries recently.

The burglars enter the residences through windows and steal property, police said in a community alert.

The burglaries occurred during the afternoon or evening Friday in the 5800 block of South Indiana Avenue, overnight Aug. 13 and 14 in the 5800 block of South Michigan Avenue, during the day Aug. 13 in the 100 block of East 58th Street, and during the day Aug. 12 in the 5800 block of South Indiana Avenue, police said.
