Special Needs Bus Accident in Woodlawn Injures Six

CHICAGO — Six people were hurt in a Woodlawn crash involving a car and a school bus carrying special needs adults on Thursday morning, the Chicago Fire Department said.

Authorities were called to the crash in the 6600 block of South St. Lawrence Avenue about 7:30 a.m., the fire department said.

Five special needs adults were taken to local hospitals, where they were listed in good condition, according to the fire department. The bus driver was in "stable" condition, the fire department said, and one person declined medical treatment.
