CHICAGO — Police are investigating the shooting death of a 21-year-old man in South Shore.
Jacoby Herron, of the 7900 block of South Oglesby Avenue, was shot and killed outside a McDonald's restaurant in the 2400 block of East 79th Street at 4:02 a.m., said Officer Michael Sullivan, a police spokesman.
Herron died after being shot in his head and body, Sullivan said.
Police had no more information about the homicide.
Herron was one of two killed and at least seven wounded in overnight violence.
