ROGERS PARK — Rico Blanco's yarn shop has closed.

Squiggly's Yarn Shop and Studio closed this week after four months inside a tiny storefront at 1604 W. Morse Ave.

"The reason for the move from the storefront cannot be discussed/disclosed at this time," Blanco posted to the store's website.

Blanco said in an email that he didn't have any news to share at this time, but might in the future.

"Please stay tuned for future updates regarding knit nights and classes offered by talented teachers of knit [and] crochet," Blanco said.

Blanco said in April that he planned to eventually quit his corporate day job in marketing and run Squiggly's full time.

He said he named the shop after a stuffed pig he won out of a claw machine in 2007.

"He's the good luck charm," Blanco had said.
