DOWNTOWN — A body was pulled Thursday morning from the lake near Navy Pier, police said.
The unidentified man was found in the river near the 600 block of East Grand Avenue about 11 a.m., authorities said.
Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago Police spokesman, said a police rescue boat was removing the body. At 4 p.m., another Chicago spokesperson said the investigation is ongoing.
The Fire Department initially said the body was pulled from the Chicago River near the 400 block of East Wacker Drive.
