LAKEVIEW — Don't be surprised to see out-of-towners snapping Instagram pics in Lakeview in August.

Local man Sawyer Lahr launched shopping tours in the neighborhood last weekend, calling them the "Hipster Chic East Lakeview" tours. Lahr thinks Lakeview is the perfect place for "hipster" travelers with an eye for the obscure to shop.

The tour groups will be traversing the 'hood from 1-3:30 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays until Labor Day. They'll be embarking from downtown and then hopping in up to 16 stores in the area, from The Gallery Bookstore, 923 W. Belmont Ave., to accessory shop Spare Parts, 2949 N. Broadway St.

If you want a refresher on the gems of the nabe — and meet the business owners behind them — feel free to check the tour out yourself. Tickets cost $12 and can be bought online.

Some stores will even be offering discounts of up to 20 percent for people on the tour.
