CHICAGO — Robbers displayed weapons and demanded property in six incidents in Chicago Lawn recently.
In two instances, a man approached his victims, showed them a gun and robbed them. Those robberies took place at 1:50 p.m. July 24 and 6:40 p.m. July 26, both on the 4300 block of West 79th Street.
The suspect is described as an 18- to 22-year-old black man, 5-foot-5 to 6 feet and 140 to 160 pounds.
In four other recent robberies, suspects also displayed weapons and then robbed their victims. Those robberies took place on:
• 4:30 a.m. July 20 on the 3900 block of West 78th Street
• 1 a.m. July 24 on the 8400 block of South Kedzie Avenue
• 10:40 p.m. July 26 on the 4100 block of West 76th Street
• 12:40 a.m. on July 27 on the 8300 block of South Kedzie Avenue
The suspects in these robberies have been described as black men, 17 to 25 years old and 5-foot-7 to 5-foot-10, according to police.
