IRVING PARK — When it comes to dining out, Tuesdays just might be the new Friday, thanks to weekly tasting menus offered by Bread & Wine and Endgrain.

The Irving Park and Roscoe Village eateries both feature three-course appetizer/entree/dessert prix fixe menus every Tuesday: Bread & Wine's will set you back $30; Endgrain charges $35. Items change every week.

Bread & Wine offers diners two options for each course. Sample dishes include chilled carrot soup, wild sockeye salmon and lemon pudding cake.

Endgrain's tasting menu has a single dish for each course, but ask about vegetarian options. Sample items include fried clams, crispy pork belly and apricot shortcake.

The restaurant is BYOB while awaiting its liquor license — be sure to call in advance to check this status.
