CHICAGO — An 18-year-old suburban woman died Sunday after an early morning argument turned into a fatal car crash in Logan Square.

The teen was sitting in a parked car with another woman in the 3700 block of West Belden Avenue about 5:45 a.m. Sunday, said Officer Jose Estrada, a police spokeswoman.

Four people — two men and two women — approached the car and began arguing with the two women inside. One of the four sprayed the car with pepper spray, Estrada said. As the women in the car sped off, they struck two parked cars and crashed.

Kassandra Castillo, 18, of the 3300 block of Edgington Street in Franklin Park, was rushed to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead at 4:37 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.

The second woman was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, Estrada said. Her age and condition were not immediately available.
