ALBANY PARK — The Kimball Brown Line station is open after all.

The station reopened on schedule at 4 a.m. Monday morning after being closed for 10 days.

As late as Sunday night, CTA was expecting construction to extend through Tuesday, but crews were able to complete work on the track overnight and test the switching system, a CTA spokeswoman said.

In a related transit announcement, the No. 82 Kimball-Homan bus, which had been rerouted to Kedzie during the track work, also resumed its normal path along Kimball.
