COOK COUNTY CRIMINAL COURT — A 42-year-old Melrose Park woman earned a trip to jail — and not a ticket to fame — after slapping a Chicago cop on the face and claiming it was a stunt for a reality TV show, according to court records.

A uniformed officer was working on a CTA "L" platform at 117 W. Lake St. when Katherine Doyle walked up to him, prosecutors said.

"You look like a nice person," Doyle told the cop, according to police reports. "I work for the TruTV show 'The Impractical Jokers' and we're being recorded right now so I have to do this."

Doyle then slapped the officer on the face, then said it was his turn to slap her, police said.

The officer instead arrested her.

Doyle was charged with aggravated battery of a police officer and ordered held in lieu of $50,000 bail.
