CHICAGO — A man was shot on the South Side Thursday afternoon, authorities said.

He was shot in his buttocks about 1:30 p.m. in the 400 block of East 69th Street, said Officer Joshua Purkiss, a Chicago Police Department spokesman. 

He was taken to Stroger Hospital from the Park Manor shooting in serious-to-critical condition, Chicago Fire Department spokesman Will Knight said.

Further information was not immediately available.
