CHICAGO— The four celebrity judges on America's Got Talent were so impressed with the Chicago Boyz, they didn't even have to perform during the second round of competition in Las Vegas.

The 7-member all-male team got a pass on Tuesday night's show — along with a third of the other groups who made it through the audition — and will move forward to the live performance rounds at Radio City Music Hall in New York City next week.

The remaining groups were split into two categories — half were immediately eliminated in Las Vegas and half had to perform for the chance to move on to NYC.

The Chicago Boyz wowed the judges — Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel, Howard Stern, and Mel B — during the audition round, where they used nine-year-old performer Martavious Owten as a human jump rope. The team, ages 9 to 23, practices twice a week on the South side.

NBC's America's Got Talent airs Tuesday and Wednesday nights at 9/8c.
