CHICAGO — Two men were shot in separate shootings Friday morning.

In Portage Park, a 32-year-old man was shot in the 4700 block of West Warwick Avenue about 6:30 a.m., said Officer Jose Estrada, a police spokesman.

He was sent to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center. No further information is available.

Earlier, a man was shot in the back of his head while riding in a car in Bronzeville early Friday morning.

A 21-year-old man who was a passenger in a car traveling westbound on 4700 block of South King Drive was shot about 12:25 a.m., said Officer Hector Alfaro, a police spokesman.

Someone shot at the car from the street, shattering the back window and injuring the passenger in the back of his head.

The car's driver sped off to 55th Street and Indiana Avenue, where he called 911.

The passenger was taken to Stroger Hospital and was listed in "stable" condition Friday morning.

No one is in custody.
