COOK COUNTY CRIMINAL COURTHOUSE — A drug bust in South Lawndale turned up a stash of illegal drugs worth upwards of $4 million, authorities said.

Police were investigating the status of a business license in the 2800 block of South Kedzie Avenue on Saturday when authorities caught Noe Montes, 39, with some 1,400 pounds of marijuana and more than 11 pounds of heroin, police said.

The estimated street value of the drugs is nearly $3.8 million, according to court documents.

On Sunday, Montes, of the 3100 block of West 42nd Street, was ordered held on a $100,000 bail by Judge Adam Bourgeois Jr.
