COOK COUNTY CRIMINAL COURTHOUSE — Almost two years after a fight between two families at Altgeld Garden Homes allegedly ended in gunfire, a 20-year-old man has been charged with murder.

Camari Glover, of Gary, has been charged with the Sept. 4, 2011, murder of 29-year-old Nicholas Jackson, who died of multiple gunshot wounds, prosecutors said.

Glover and his family were fighting with the victim's family, both of which lived in the sprawling Chicago Housing Authority development on the far South Side of Chicago, Assistant State's Attorney Amanda Pillsbury said Thursday during a brief bonding hearing.

Glover was allegedly caught on surveillance video when he pulled out a gun and started shooting.

He was also seen by eyewitnesses running from the scene with a gun, Pillsbury said.

Glover was ordered held without bail by a Cook County judge on Thursday.
