CHICAGO — A 16-year-old boy was charged with robbery after allegedly snatching a woman's iPhone in Little Italy Friday, police said.

The woman, 22, was walking west in the 1300 block of West Taylor Street about 11:50 a.m. when the teen began walking next to her, she told police. When she confronted him, he tried to take her shoulder bag and pushed her to the ground, police said. He then took an iPhone from her pocket and ran eastbound, police said.

Police were notified of the robbery, and learned the teen had boarded a train. Gang enforcement officers removed him from the train, and recovered the phone, police said.
