CHICAGO — A 16-year-old boy was shot in the leg on the Southeast Side Tuesday morning, police said.
Police were called to the 7300 block of South Merrill Avenue in South Shore about 10:57 a.m. after the teen was shot in the leg, said Officer Michael Sullivan, a police spokesman.
He was taken in "stable" condition to Jackson Park Hospital, Sullivan said.
Cops said he was gang affiliated and was not cooperating with police.
No one was in custody, and no further information was immediately available.
