RAVENSWOOD — As if scoring a great deal at a yard sale wasn't satisfying enough, Friends of Ravenswood School made its sale Saturday a benefit for kids, doubling the feel-good quotient.
All items have been donated, meaning all proceeds will go directly to Friends of Ravenswood. The group raises funds to support programming at the elementary school, particularly its fine arts and performing arts curriculum.
If you'd like to unload, as opposed to acquire, merchandise, organizers are still accepting items for the sale as long as they're kid-themed and in good condition. No cribs or car seats.
Donations can be dropped off from 3:30-6:30 p.m. Friday at the school, 4332 N. Paulina St. Drop-offs should be made at north door to the school's gym.
The sale will be held on the school's north lawn, at Montrose Avenue and Paulina Street, from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday.
Shop for sports gear, toys, books, games and clothing — you know, all the things that kids immediately grow out of or declare themselves bored with.
