CITY HALL — The City Council will vote Wednesday on a measure that could add nine new food truck outposts in the city's most restaurant-heavy neighborhoods.

If approved, the measure would increase the number of "mobile food vehicle stands" in the city to 30.

Those 30 stands would be located in Lakeview, Lincoln Park, West Town, Near North Side, Near West Side and The Loop.

All six of those community areas have more than 300 restaurants, which constrains where trucks may park given that an ordinance passed last year demands they park 200 feet away from any such business.
