CHICAGO — Police say burglars took more than just the stores safes when they robbed two Walgreens in the area.
The robbers forced their way into the drug store by cutting holes in adjacent walls. They then took the safes, CTA bus fare cards, money and cigarettes, police said.
Robbers hit the first location in the 4000 block of West 26th Street on May 13 at 5:30 a.m. The second location in the 3000 block of West 26th Street was robbed on May 27 between 3 and 7 a.m., police said.
Police did not have descriptions of the burglars.
