WEST LOOP — City approval is overrated when you're The Salsa Truck guy.
While food truck owner Dan Salls has yet to get approval for the food truck commissary at his new West Loop eatery "The Garage," he can't wait any longer to debut his lunch counter-style cuisine at 116 N. Aberdeen St.
The Salsa Truck's Facebook page had this to say:
"We're still working hard with the City to get the commissary part going & bring in other trucks — but, at least we can open up & start serving food for you all! Sadly, THE SALSA TRUCK won't be out this week — we need all hands on deck over at THE GARAGE, but we'll be back soon enough."
Anywhere from six to eight rotating menu items will be featured at The Garage and the fare will change daily. Find Salsa Truck grub on Wednesday, with "Mediterranean" on Thursday and "Chicago-style" food to cap off the week Friday.
Grab a bite every weekday from 11-5 p.m.
