Police Warn of Attempted Sex Assualt in New City

CHICAGO — Police are warning of an attempted sexual assault in the New City neighborhood.

At 7:45 Saturday morning, a man tried to sexually assualt a woman who had pulled to the side of the road in the 4800 block of South Seeley Avenue.

The suspect is described as a male Hispanic, between 30 and 40 years old, 5-foot to 5-foot-four, 150-170 pounds, with a thick mustache. He spoke Spanish with a heavy accent and was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and dark-colored pants, police said in a community alert issued Saturday afternoon.
