CHICAGO LAWN — A 24-year-old man was shot in his chest Wednesday afternoon in what police are calling a domestic incident.
The shooting occurred around 12:40 p.m. in the 6900 block of South Talman Avenue in Chicago Lawn, said Officer Michael Sullivan, a Chicago Police Department spokesman.
The man was taken first to Holy Cross Hospital then transferred to Mount Sinai Hospital.
A man is in custody, and charges are pending, Sullivan said. A weapon was recovered, he said.
He declined to give further details of the shooting.
