Man Attempts to Kidnap Two Boys in Chicago Lawn, Police Say

CHICAGO LAWN — Police are warning Chicago Lawn residents to be on the lookout for a man accused of attempted kidnapping and luring of two teenage boys.

Police said the crime occurred in the early morning hours of May 16 in the 7100 block of South Troy Street.

"Come over here and check this out," the man said to two boys, ages 14 and 15, police said.

Then man then drove eastbound on 71st Street when the boys did not respond, authorities said.

The suspect is described as a black man between the age of 25-30 with brown eyes, black hair and a medium brown complexion.

Police said he was driving a maroon or red two-door sedan with a dent on the driver's side.
