Body Found Floating in Chicago River Tuesday

CHICAGO — The body of a man was found floating in the Chicago River Tuesday evening, police said.

A Police Marine Unit responded about to a call about 6:49 p.m. of a body in the water in the 1200 block of South Lumber Street, police said.

The man, believed to be in his 40s, was pulled from the water near Roosevelt Road. He was dead on the scene, police said.
