CHICAGO — Eleven juveniles and one adult were arrested in a group disturbance, possibly planned online, near the Magnificent Mile Saturday evening.

There were no reported injuries or violence in the incident that took place about 7:45 p.m. in the area west of Michigan Avenue near Chicago Avenue, said Officer Hector Alfaro, a police spokesman.

There was a heavy police presence in the Gold Coast area that has been the scene of other incidents involving large groups of teens.  In Marc h, nearly 30 people were arrested for fighting and a robbery on the "L." At least 15 cops patrolled the area around the Chicago Red Line stop ; police corralled teens and ordered them to leave the area.

On Saturday, Gov. Pat Quinn signed a bill that would impose stricter sentences for online crime organizers, increasing penalties from one to three years in jail to three to six years.
