COOK COUNTY CRIMINAL COURTHOUSE — No sooner had the good Samaritan run off a group of teens threatening a man than he reached into the same man's pocket to steal his cell phone, Cook County prosecutors said Monday.

Antoine Hunter, 23, was allegedly eyeing a man he planned to rob in the area of West 79th and Halsted streets Saturday when a group of teens surrounded the man, prosecutors said.

Hunter stepped in and ordered the teens to "get away," prosecutors said. Then, after inquiring if the victim was "OK," he allegedly reached into the man's pocket and snatched his cell phone.

Antoine, who has several arrests in his criminal history and pleaded guilty to robbery in 2007, had his bail set at $75,000 by Cook County Judge Donald Panarese Jr.
