OLD TOWN — Chicago's running community will continue their support for those affected by the Boston Marathon bombing Monday night with "Runners For Boston" fun runs kicking off at Fleet Feet Sports' two Chicago locations.

The "Runners For Boston" fun run will start at 6:30 p.m at both locations, in Old Town and in Lincoln Square, and runners are encouraged to sport the iconic Boston Marathon blue and yellow gear from past races, or any other race shirt.

Fleet Feet, which hosts regular group runs, had 86 runners participate in the Boston Marathon through its "Boston Bound" program. None of the runners were injured in the attack.

Fleet Feet is selling "Runners for Boston" shirts to benefit One Fund Boston, which will raise money for families most affected by the bombings at last Monday's marathon.

Fleet Feet Sports owner Dave Zimmer and the group of running industry insiders who created the shirt had the idea idea adopted by the Running Retailers Association. It does not have any logos of any particular store or brand.

The shirts will be available in dozens of participating running stores nationwide and will cost $20.

Fleet Feet had previously scheduled a Boston Bound end of season celebration for the 86 members of the program that ran the Boston Marathon, but that event was pushed back to Wednesday in the wake of the tragedy.

Monday night's fun run will mark the one-week anniversary of the marathon bombing. Participants can run anywhere from 3 to 6 miles with the group and finish back at the Fleet Feet locations, 1620 N. Wells St. and 4762 N. Lincoln Ave.
