CHICAGO — Chicago cops stopped and searched a CTA Blue Line "L" train in the Loop Tuesday morning after reports that a passenger went on a rant and threatened others.

A source said the passenger reportedly said he had a bomb.

But when the police stopped the train at the Monroe station at about 8:30 p.m., the man was gone and there was no sign of a threat.

Customers experienced delays at the station after the incident.

Officer Michael Sullivan, a Chicago police spokesman, confirmed that police did not find a passenger who might have caused a disturbance. Police said the call was believed to be unfounded.
