CHICAGO — A man who suffered a graze wound after being shot in Lakeview Wednesday night told police he was a gang member and that he thought the shooting was gang-related.

The 24-year-old man was shot in the 4000 block of North Lake Shore Drive about 10:50 p.m., said Officer Amina Greer, a police spokeswoman. He self-identified as a member of Black Keystones, said Sgt. Jason Clark.

He was driving in the northbound lane when another car drove by and fired, the victim told police, Clark said. He told police he thought it was a gang-related shooting, Clark said.

A bullet grazed the man's chest, and he refused medical attention, Greer said.

No one is in custody for the shooting, Greer said.
