CHICAGO — Police warned businesses of two recent robberies at cellphone stores in Pilsen and Ukrainian Village.
In both robberies, two men entered the stores and pretended to shop before pulling out handguns and demanding cash from the businesses, police said in an alert.
Police said a cellphone store in the 1700 block of South Ashland Avenue was robbed at 4:18 p.m. March 12, and another store was robbed in the 2300 block of West Chicago Avenue about 12:45 p.m. March 26.
Both suspects are described as black men ages 24- to 39-years-old, 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet 3 inches tall and weighing 140 to 215 pounds.
