CHICAGO — At least two men are in the hospital after shootings on the South and West Sides Sunday night, police said.

About 9:15 p.m., a 26-year-old man was shot multiple times in his hip and knee in the 3100 block of West 25th Street in Little Village, said Officer Amina Greer, a police spokeswoman.

The man was walking out of a store when a gunman opened fire, Greer said. The man was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition.

About 9:50 p.m., a 29-year-old man sustained a gunshot wound in his leg in the 6300 block of South Wolcott Avenue in West Englewood, Greer said. The man had been walking down the street when a passenger in a dark-colored vehicle began shooting.

The man was taken in stable condition to John H. Stroger Hospital.

Police are investigating both shootings. No one is in custody in either.
