CHICAGO — A man was charged with aggravated DUI after a crash on South Lake Shore Drive left a woman in critical condition Sunday night.

Mareo T. Nutall, 32, was arrested after the 2000 GMC SUV he was driving rear-ended a 2005 Chrysler minivan in the 4500 block of South Lake Shore Drive Sunday about 10:45 p.m., police said.

A 52-year-old woman was taken to Northwestern Memorial in critical condition after the accident, authorities said.

Cops said Nutall was charged with two felony counts of aggravated DUI, one count for causing an accident or bodily harm and the other for driving with a suspended or revoked license.

Nutall, who lives on the border of East Garfield Park and North Lawndale in the 3500 block of West Arthington Street, was also charged with two misdemeanor DUI counts, failure to reduce speed and driving on a suspended license, police said.

He is expected to appear in bond court on Tuesday, police said.
