CHICAGO — Police said a 14-year-old boy took a bullet in his chest in a drive-by shooting on the West Side Monday evening.

He was standing on a sidewalk in the 5100 block of West North Avenue in Austin about 6:20 p.m. when shots were fired from a red car driving eastbound, said officer Jose Estrada, a police spokesman.
