13-Year-Old Among Three Wounded in Shootings

CHICAGO — A 13-year-old boy was among three people shot in the leg in separate incidents throughout the city Thursday, police said.

That boy was shot about 8:25 p.m. in the 8200 block of South Drexel Avenue in Chatham, said Sgt. Al Stinites, a police spokesman.

He was taken to Comer Children's Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, Stinites said.

About 4:55 p.m., a 21-year-old man was shot in the 4900 block of North Ridgeway Avenue in Albany Park and was taken to Swedish Covenant Hospital for his injuries, Stinites said.

About 8:40 p.m. a man, whose age is unknown, was shot in the leg in the 6700 block of South Bell Avenue in West Englewood, Stinites said. That victim was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn for his injuries.

No one has been arrested in the shootings, Stinites said.
