CHICAGO — A 15-year-old Little Village boy died Monday after being shot multiple times on Sunday, authorities said.

The boy, identified by the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office as Victor Damian, was pronounced dead at Mount Sinai Hospital at 11:40 a.m. Monday.

The shooting occurred in the 2800 block of South Spaulding Avenue when Victor was in the street about 4:22 p.m. Sunday, police said.

A man exited a vehicle and fired in Victor's direction, said Officer Daniel O'Brien, a police spokesman.

Victor was shot multiple times with at least one bullet piercing his head, according to the medical examiner's office and police.

The gunman fled the scene and no one is in custody, O'Brien said.
