RAVENSWOOD — Going once, going twice, hypnosis session sold to .... sorry, our eyes are getting very sleepy.
More than 100 items — hypnosis session included — are open for bidding in Ravenswood Elementary School's online auction fundraiser.
No need to have a child enrolled in the school to participate. All are welcome to compete for a variety of vacation getaways, event tickets, spa days and more.
Among the more unusual items up for grabs: a Chicago Sun-Times printing plate from President Obama's 2012 re-election, Chicago Blackhawks cufflinks made from game pucks and a parent-child workshop about puberty (what happens in puberty workshop, stays in puberty workshop).
A his-and-her package could include, for him, the chance to sit in on WSCR-AM's "Boers and Bernstein" afternoon show on The Score and, for her, a microdermabrasion treatment that's infinitely less irritating than sports talk radio.
Bidding is open through April 5 or 6, depending on the item. Winners will be notified via email and final transactions will be conducted through PayPal.
The auction is sponsored by Friends of Ravenswood School and all funds raised will directly benefit students and teachers.
