CHICAGO — Two men were wounded after one was shot in his thigh and the other in his head Wednesday night and Thursday morning, police said.
A 27-year-old man was walking on the sidewalk in the 9200 block of South LaSalle Street in Roseland when he heard gunshots about 4:30 a.m. Thursday, said officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago Police spokesman.
After realizing he'd been shot, he got help from a passerby who drove him to Little Company of Mary Hospital, where he listed in stable condition, with a gunshot wound in his right thigh, Estrada said.
A 36-year-old man was driving near the intersection of Roosevelt Road and Kolin Avenue in Lawndale about 10:30 p.m. Wednesday when he heard gunshots, Estrada said.
After realizing he'd been shot, the man drove himself to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was treated for several graze wounds to his head and was listed in stable condition, Estrada said.
No one was in custody for either shooting.
