CHICAGO — A woman's impatience led to her arrest after she punched a CTA bus driver multiple times, while the driver was on a bathroom break.

Tabitha Flournoy, 30, of the 2500 block of West Catalpa Avenue, appeared in bond court Sunday and was charged with aggravated battery of a transit worker.

The incident occurred Friday at 4:45 p.m. just outside of the Western Brown Line "L" station, prosecutors said.

The bus driver had stepped off the bus to visit the bathroom when Flournoy insisted that she be let on the bus, prosecutors said.

After the bus driver told her to wait, Flournoy allegedly approached and punched the bus driver multiple times, knocking off her glasses and leaving scratches on her face.

Flournoy was ordered held on $50,000 bond.
