Sex Offender Alert Issued by Albany Park District Police

ALBANY PARK — The Albany Park Police District has issued a community alert, warning residents to be on the lookout for a man who's been exposing himself to young girls.

According to the alert, on three occasions between Feb. 21 and March 5, the man stopped the girls after school and talked to them before exposing himself and grabbing at the girls as they fled.

The incidents took place after school in the 4900 block of North Troy Avenue, the 3800 block of West Leland Avenue and the 3200 block of West Catalpa Avenue.

The man is described as Hispanic, in his early- to mid-20s, between 5-feet 6-inches and 5-feet 10-inches tall, weighing about 140 pounds, with very short dark brown or black hair and a light complexion.

Police said residents should ensure children are supervised on their way to and from school. Call 911 to report any suspicious activity or individuals.
