CHICAGO — A man sexually assaulted a woman in Chicago Lawn early Thursday, police said.
An 18-year-old woman was walking towards Western Avenue in the 2400 block of West 65th Street about 6:20 a.m. when a man approached her from behind with a knife, according to a community alert.
The man forced the woman into an alley, sexually assaulted her and fled, police said.
The man is described as black, between 30 and 40 years old, between 5-foot-11 and 6-foot-2 and between 180 and 190 pounds, according to the alert.
He was wearing a black and red hooded sweatshirt, dark colored pants and black shoes, officials said.
