CHICAGO — A man was stabbed multiple times in a domestic incident in a home near O'Hare Airport on the Northwest Side Monday morning, authorities said.

The man was stabbed just before 9:20 a.m. in the 5100 block of North East River Road and taken to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge in critical condition, according to police and the fire department.

The 49-year-old was stabbed in the neck in an apparent domestic-related dispute, said officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago police spokesman.

Estrada said a man was taken into custody after the bloody incident with charges pending, but the relationship between the suspect and the victim was not immediately clear.
