CHICAGO — A 21-year-old man was shot early Friday in Ashburn.
The man was riding in a vehicle near the intersection of 77th Street and Pulaski Road about 1:30 a.m. when a van pulled up alongside him and a gunman fired shots, striking the man in his head and left shoulder, police said.
He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in critical condition, police said.
The shooting appears to have been gang related, police said, and no other injuries were reported.
No suspects are in custody.
