RAVENSWOOD — Customers who don't follow Angel Food Bakery on social media might have been surprised to find themselves in the middle of a TV set when they popped in for pastries Wednesday morning.

A crew from the Food Network swarmed the small storefront to film an upcoming episode of the "Sandwich King," hosted by Jeff Mauro.

Angel Food owner and pastry chef Stephanie Samuels tipped Facebook fans on Tuesday: "Ok folks, The Food Network Show 'Sandwich King' is coming to shoot our S'mores tomorrow."

Food Network execs would not allow a DNAinfo.com reporter to photograph the shoot in progress or to interview members of the production team. The episode featuring Angel Food is rumored to be scheduled to air in April or May.

Samuels is no stranger to the spotlight. Her retro-themed sweets have appeared on a number of programs, most recently the Cooking Channel's "Unique Sweets."
