Extra-Alarm Fire Breaks Out at Laundromat on South Side

CHICAGO — Firefighters battled an extra-alarm blaze at a South Side coin laundry Friday, officials said.

The two-alarm fire at 2734 E. 79th St. broke out just after 11 a.m., but was under control about 11:45 a.m., said a spokesman for the Chicago Fire Department.

No one was injured, the spokesman said.
