LAKEVIEW — Wine lovers and home entertainers with cash to spare might want to check out a $2.9 million Lakeview property's open house this Sunday.

The five-bedroom, four-and-two-half-bathroom single family home at 1746 W. Surf Street went on the market last October for $3.3 million, but the price dropped about 12 percent to $2.895 million late last month, according to real estate site Zillow.

The nearly 8,000-square-foot brick building was constructed in 2006 and features several rooms for entertainment and storage that makes its suitable for modern day Gatsbys hosting winter or summer guests.

The great room features a wood-burning fireplace, a large deck with a fire pit, a sunny atrium and a 10-by-7-foot wine cellar with wood shelving.

Taxes on the home, listed by Coldwell Banker agent Ian Schwartz, were $47,580 in 2011.

To see the home in person, check out the open house Coldwell Banker is hosting on Sunday from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.
