CHICAGO — Police issued a community alert warning residents about a sexual assailant in the Portage Park neighborhood.
On Thursday, a 24-year-old woman was attacked about 11:35 a.m. while walking down the 5100 block of West Grace, police said. An unidentified man approached the woman, removed her clothing and attempted to sexually assault her.
The attacker is described as a Hispanic man with brown hair and brown eyes. He is roughly 40 years old and approximately 5-foot-6 and 130 pounds.
He is believed to have been driving a black Chevrolet Tahoe or Trailblazer with white “sport” lights, police said.
