UPTOWN — Zeller Realty Group, a prominent company with a stake in the Wrigley Building has joined Uptown's chamber of commerce.
Uptown Business Partners, the neighborhood's chamber of commerce, announced the addition to its ranks on Monday. Last June, Zeller and CarVal Investors bought a five-story medical office building at 4700 N. Marine Drive, which shares a lobby with nearby Weiss Memorial Hospital, 4646 N. Marine Drive.
Zeller is managing and leasing the property and looking for tenants to fill the space, according to the chamber. Zeller saw joining the organization as a way to reach out to local businesses, according to chamber director Lisa Wagner.
"Zeller has property in the area and we had a meeting with them last week," she said Wednesday, explaining that Zeller initiated the link. "They want to be a good neighbor to our businesses."
The Chicago-based firm has completed more than $1.2 billion in acquisitions and development activity in several markets since 1988, according to its website.
